![]() Figure 1 To add an event to the calendar you first must log in as a member. Click on the title bar of the calendar to bring the calendar into focus as shown in figure 1. You have to be on the main page (home). When you click on the title bar you should see the window update. Once the calendar is in the main window, you should see two line items at the bottom of the calendar: Add Event
![]() Figure 2 Add Events will allow you to add events to the calendar program. My Events allows you to view all the calendar events you've added to the program.
Once you select "Add Event", you will be given a new page. On this page you will see 6 tabbed pages. Starting with "Common" you will see "Calendar", then "Images" and so on as shown in image 3. ![]() Figure 3 To add an event we need a title for the calendar event. Remember space is a preminum so try to make the title of the event as short as possible but at the same time try to be intuitive enough with the title so it will be clear to an un-informed visitor. Enter the name of the event into the data field labeled "Subject". Now using the drop down menu item call "Catagories", drop the menu down and select the appropriate catagory. If you have additional information concering the event like show times or special news or instructions place them in the text window. You can also use standard html controls for text and graphics. These will be displayed when a visitor clicks on your event in the calendar. They will be given a display of the information you type in. You can insert images, change text, fonts or colors at this time so you can build quite a nice looking web page if you desire. The next tabbed selection is called "Calendar". Click on this tabbed page to select the type of calendar event. Some events maybe a single day or span of days, you may also have a repeating or re-occuring type of event. ![]() Figure 4 If you are creating a single day event, make sure the All day event or unspecified time check box is selected, else you will chose the begin time and end time of the event. If you want a repeating event chose one of the selections in the window below: ![]() Figure 5 If you have any questions or ideas for this calendar package, please email me.
